WHAT: Apartment Fire.
WHEN: October 11, 2024, at 3:25 p.m.
WHERE: 9735 Long Point Rd. 77055.
INJURIES: Two civilians transported to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

DAMAGE: $200,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (natural gas / furnace leak).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from the second floor and roof of a 2-story apartment building. They made an attack on the fire and quickly extinguished it. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. A maintenance worker and resident were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. 46 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 5, 77, 50, 2, 78, 4, 49, 57, 60 and Rehab 8.
