INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $85,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical failure, malfunction, other).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming through the roof of a 2-story apartment building. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The tenants had been alerted by someone knocking on their door to advise them their attic area was on fire. Rehab and the Houston Police Department were requested. Crews pulled the ceiling for better access to the attic area and controlled the fire, containing it to the unit of origin with no extension to the surrounding apartments. The fire was extinguished, and the American Red Cross was requested to assist the occupants. The Apartment management team and a restoration company was also on scene. 32 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 2, 4, 5, 49, 77, 57, 28, 66, Rehab 8 and the Village Fire Department.
