DAMAGE: $15 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a 2-story apartment building. They made entry and attacked the fire, tapping it out within 20 minutes. A blower motor caused the fire which spread through the duct work. There was significant smoke and some structure damage. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the resident. Crews from Stations 2, 28, 68, 83, 10, 51, 69, 73, 76 and 57 responded to this incident.
