DAMAGE: $30,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire in a first-floor apartment unit. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The adjacent apartment units were checked with no fire extension found. Crews contained and extinguished the fire that originated in the kitchen from a stove/oven being left on while the occupant was not home. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 60, 2, 28, 83, 10, 69, 57 and Rescue 10.
