WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: May 16, 2025, at 10:29 a.m.
WHERE: 3620 Southmore Blvd. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from an apartment building and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed and the utilities were controlled. The roof was ventilated and crews extinguished the fire. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire which appeared to have started in the exterior wall of the first floor near an water value repair. 52 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 46, 23, 8, 18, 24, 25, 33, 35, 33 and Heavy Rescue 11.
