WHAT: Apartment Fire

CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source - electrical.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a second-floor apartment unit. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The building was ventilated, and the utilities were secured. A primary search was completed with no one found. Crews quickly controlled and extinguish the fire, containing it to a bathroom in the unit. The fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring in a light switch and light. Firefighters from Stations 62, 4, 5, 6, 31, 13, 50, 66 and 77 responded to this incident.
