CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a second story apartment and forced entry. They conducted a primary search and controlled the fire within eight minutes. A mattress was removed to limit extension and the utilities were secured. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. Crews from Stations 26, 70, 52 and 61 responded to this incident.
