WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: August 1, 2023, at 6:13 p.m.
WHERE: 802 Seminar Dr. 77060.

DAMAGE: $30,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming through the roof of a vacant 2-story building. Strong winds also spread the fire to nearby grass and brush. A defensive attack was made, and additional units were requested to control the grass fire. The crews extinguished the fire and ensured all hotspots were out. This complex had several previous fires and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 42 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 64, 34, 67, 74, 84, 63, 58, 30, Rehab 17, the Aldine Fire Department, Little York Fire Department and Westfield Fire Department.
