WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: March 18, 2023 at 8:35 p.m.
WHERE: 220 Northpoint Dr. 77060.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $200,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $200,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire coming through the roof of a 2-story apartment building. They made an offensive attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The nearby apartment buildings were also checked. Crews extinguished the fire and after talking with the resident, requested HFD Arson to determine the cause. CenterPoint was on scene and secured the power to the building. The apartment management and American Red Cross were also on scene to assist the residents. Firefighters from Stations 84, 31, 64, 58, 74, 57 and the Aldine Fire Department responded to this incident.
