DAMAGE: $200,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find fire coming from the roof of a 2-story apartment. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. The fire was extinguished with the damage to the attic area only. Eight units had water damage. CenterPoint was notified to secure the electricity and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The apartment management assisted several residents, and the American Red Cross was notified. Crews from Stations 31, 64, 58, 67, 74, 84, 30 and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
