CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from the eaves of a 2-story apartment building. They made an offensive attack and controlled the fire. CenterPoint was notified and the American Red Cross was requested to assist the residents. Crews from Stations 23, 26, 46, 18, 20, 25, 35, 40, 18 and 24 responded to this incident.
