CAUSE: Unintentional (electrical failure, malfunction, other)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the second floor of an apartment building. The fire was located, and crews opened the walls to fully extinguish it. The fire appeared to be electrical in nature with one breaker thrown in the unit’s breaker box. The resident also reported that she smelled smoke after plugging in an iron. Crews from Stations 29, 26, 23, 70, 36, 61 and 24 responded to this incident.
