WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: January 3, 2025, at 10:04 a.m.
WHERE: 1715 Enclave Parkway, 77077.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental (careless discarding of smoldering materials).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the second and third floor of an apartment building. Fire was also venting from the roof. A defensive attack was declared, and crews controlled the fire. Once it was declared safe to enter, crews switched to an offensive mode and the firefighters extinguished the remaining fire inside the building. A search of the (12) units in the building was completed with everyone safely out. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced residents and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 50 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 2, 68, 83, 10, 28, 76, 77, 69, 78, 37, 57, Rescue 10 and Rehab 42.
