CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the roof of an apartment unit. They made an attack on the fire, during which the fireplace detached and collapsed. The walls and ceiling were opened to fully control and extinguish the fire. The porch light had been flickering prior to the fire and it appeared there was an electrical issue causing the fire. The American Red Cross was requested for the resident. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 78, 83, 69, 86, 75 and 57.
