CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a fire in the kitchen of an apartment. Crews controlled the fire and conducted a primary search. One resident and a dog were treated by HFD EMS on scene. The fire was controlled, and the unit was ventilated. Unattended food left cooking on the stove caused the fire. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents of the unit of origin. No other residents were displaced. Firefighters from Stations 23, 70, 71, 72, 93, 94, 61 and 24 responded to this incident.
