WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: July 20, 2024, at 6:19 p.m.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $825,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $250,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from an apartment balcony and soffit areas. A primary search was completed with all residents and pets safely evacuated. The crews made an offensive attack and extinguished the fire on the balcony. The ceiling was pulled to fully extinguish the remainder of the fire in the attic. Crews left the apartment in care of the resident and maintenance, advising them of the hazard of possible falling sheetrock and debris. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 43 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 36, 23, 26, 71, 72, 93, 94 and Rehab 17.
