CAUSE: Unintentional (cooking).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find smoke coming from a fourth-floor apartment unit and began fire control. Crews checked for extension and ensured everyone was safely out of the unit and nearby units. They quickly controlled a kitchen fire that started with cooking oil and extended to the kitchen cabinets. Several fans were used to remove the smoke and the roof hatch was opened. Firefighters from Stations 68, 28, 82, 51 and 73 responded to this incident.
