WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: July 17,2023, at 9:30 p.m.
WHERE: 12261 Fondren Rd. 77035.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $475,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $75,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (incendiary).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find fire coming from a second-floor apartment and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed with no one found. The crews quickly contained the fire and secured the electricity. Firefighters checked for extension and ventilated the building using a fan. The American Red Cross was notified for the residents. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire with the Houston Police Department and apartment security on scene. 39 personnel were dispatched to this incident, including crews from Stations 82, 2, 59, 68 and 51.
