INJURIES: 2 civilians transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
PROPERTY SAVED: $90 thousand in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $35 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find heavy smoke coming from the first and second floor of a 3-story apartment building with a report of possible victims trapped. Crews found two victims on the outside of a door and transported them to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was quickly controlled, and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the victims. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 73, 68,10, 83, 76, 57 and Rescue 10 responded to this incident.
