CAUSE: Heat source too close to combustible.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire coming from the roof of a 2-story apartment building and made an offensive attack. They ventilated the building and conducted a primary search. The fire was contained to the attic space of the unit of origin with some smoke and water damage to the adjacent units. Crews controlled and extinguished the fire, and the American Red Cross was requested for the residents of the nine units damaged by the fire. 58 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 73, 82, 2, 68, 83, 10, 51, 60, 69, 76 and 57.
