One of two men shot at 4700 Market Street about 9:10 a.m. last Thursday (March 7) has died.
Jose Juvenal Gonzalez, 30, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased on Saturday (March 9).
The second victim, Jose Miguel Gonzales, 20, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner and Officer J. Flores reported:
The victims, who are brothers, were at a convenience store at the above address when one of them began arguing with an unknown suspect. The suspect then produced a gun and began shooting, striking both victims multiple times.
The suspect then fled. He is described only as a black male, 20 to 25 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.
