Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal crash that occurred at 7700 Bellaire Blvd. about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 30).
Giovany Flores, 34, is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 174th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Flores is attached to this news release.
The identity of the deceased female is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer N. Kumar reported:
The driver of a white Lexus RX-330 was traveling westbound on Bellaire at the above address when the driver of a silver Honda Accord failed to yield the right of way and attempted to make a U-turn. The Lexus then struck the Honda, driven by Flores. Both Flores, and the passenger in the Honda, were transported to an area hospital where the victim was pronounced deceased.
Flores showed signs of intoxication and was charged for his role in the fatal crash.
