Houston police are investigating a fatal crash in the 6300 block of Telephone Road about 1:40 a.m. on August 8.
The deceased female is identified as Angelina Tornero, 21.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Garcia and Officer R. McLemore reported:
A gray Chevrolet Cruze was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on Reveille Street. The Chevrolet ran a red light at the intersection of Reveille and Telephone Road, striking a gray Toyota Corolla. Houston Fire Department pronounced the driver of the Chevrolet, later identified as Angelina Tornero, deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the Toyota, 25, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
