Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred in the 7500 block of Bellerive Drive about 1:45 a.m. on June 14.
The suspect, Rudolfo Pinon III, 25, is charged with murder in the 338th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Pinon is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Galilea Adan, 26.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. LaFour and L. Kauffman and Detectives C. Crowder, M. Cater and A. Vinogradov reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a crash near the above address and located a female in a moving lane of traffic. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the female deceased.
According to witnesses, they were leaving a club when an argument occurred. At some point the driver pulled over and the driver and passengers exited the vehicle. The driver got back into the vehicle and hit the victim with his vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Officers located the gray SUV unoccupied a few miles away from the scene.
Further investigation identified Rudolfo Pinon III as the driver/suspect in this case. On June 15, Pinon was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in this incident.
