Charges have been filed against a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a male found at 6900 Caddo Lake Lane about 6:40 p.m. on November 30, 2024.
The suspect, Raheim Bushnell Davalos, 21, is charged with capital murder in the 182nd State District Court. A booking photo of Bushnell Davalos is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Jose Rodriguez, 17.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Henderson and L. Patterson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive male lying in the street. He had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim, later identified as Mr. Rodriguez, deceased at the scene.
Investigators learned the male met with individuals driving a dark colored SUV. During the interaction, the suspect(s) exited the vehicle and shot towards the male striking him multiple times. The victim returned fire towards the suspect(s) and the vehicle. Investigators released a surveillance photo of the suspect’s vehicle in December 2024.
Further investigation identified Bushnell Davalos as the suspect in this incident. He was subsequently charged in April and arrested by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
