Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 9365 Main Street about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday (April 27).
The identity of the victim, 27, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
Officers responded to a shooting in the parking lot of a gas station at the above address and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported him to Ben Taub General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Further investigation revealed two males had been arguing. The victim, a family member of one of the males, attempted to diffuse the argument. The suspect then shot the victim. Both the suspect and the other male fled the scene.
The suspect is described only as a black male, approximately 19 to 25 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing between 200 and 220 pounds.
