Suspect Charged in Woman’s Disappearance from 7925 W Little York Road in 2022

Charges have been filed against a suspect in the disappearance, and presumed death, of a woman who was last seen at 7925 West Little York Road about 4:30 p.m. on January 12, 2022.

The suspect, John Alberto Roman, 40, is charged with capital murder in the 177th State District Court. A 2022 booking photo of Roman, who is in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s (TDCJ) custody, is attached to this news release.

He is accused in the death of Breandrea Wiley, 19.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Watson and M. Burrow and Detectives K. Amri and K. Hale reported:

Ms. Wiley disappeared on January 12, 2022 and had last been seen outside her residence at the above address. Despite a lengthy investigation and numerous searches by HPD with the assistance of Texas Equusearch, her remains have never been located.

On April 21, Roman was charged with her murder. He is currently in custody at TDCJ for aggravated robbery.
