Houston police have identified the suspect vehicle and have learned the fatal shooting of a man at 1100 North State Highway 6 about 9:45 a.m. April 13 will be presented to a Harris County grand jury.
The deceased is identified as Henry Hooper, 39.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found an adult male lying in the roadway, just outside of his vehicle. The man appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witnesses stated there was a verbal altercation between the victim and the suspects moments before the shooting, which stemmed from a road rage incident. The suspects fled in the Volkswagen hatchback westbound on Park Row Boulevard. At the time, investigators released surveillance photos of a wanted white Volkswagen hatchback with two Hispanic males, possibly in their 20s.
Further investigation identified the occupants of the white Volkswagen and investigators spoke with both of them. Additional surveillance video was also obtained. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was then contacted and it was determined the case would be reviewed by a grand jury.
