Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing at 3834 Woolworth Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 3834 Woolworth Street about noon on Sunday (March 2).

The suspect, Raynard Lathell Wilmore, 50, is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 177th State District Court.  A booking photo of Wilmore is attached to this news release.

The victim, 32, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Family Violence Division Detective L. Garcia reported:

Officers were dispatched to a stabbing call at the residence at the above address and were advised a male was stabbed by his uncle (Wilmore) during a confrontation.  Another individual inside the home intervened and separated the two men.  Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital.

Wilmore remained at the scene.  He was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and then transported to the Harris County Jail after being charged in the domestic dispute.
