| Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 5101 Tidwell Road about 12:20 a.m. on Sunday (March 2).
The identity, gender and cause of death of the remains are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and A. Ledford reported:
HPD patrol officers were flagged down by a passerby who reported a deceased person inside an abandoned vehicle in a vacant lot at the above address. Officers located human skeletal remains in the passenger side of an SUV. The vehicle was locked and there did not appear to be any obvious signs of trauma to the remains.
The investigation is pending manner and cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
