Houston police are investigating the death of a male found at 2900 Westridge Street about 1:10 a.m. on Sunday (March 2).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to an assault in progress call at a strip center parking lot at the above address and found an unresponsive male near the private driveway of the strip center. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation indicated the male was possibly involved in an argument and was assaulted by an unknown male suspect.
The suspect is described only as a black male wearing a blue jacket and shorts, The suspect walked with a limp.
