Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another at 10315 Dulcimer Street about 11:25 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 26).
The identity of the deceased victim, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The second victim, 32, was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective D. Hobson reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and found two males inside the home. Both males, who were roommates, had suffered gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced one of the men deceased at the scene and transported the other to a hospital.
Officers learned two unknown black male suspects exited a vehicle, held the younger victim at gunpoint in the driveway and demanded entry into the residence. Upon gaining entry, the suspects fired multiple rounds, striking both victims. The suspects fled the scene in a newer model, dark SUV.
