| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10400 Fulton Street about 2:55 p.m. on Saturday (February 15).
The identity of the deceased female, 77, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. A second female, 53, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer T. La reported:
Both females were crossing the street westbound from the center median at the above address, in a crosswalk, when they were struck by a white Toyota Scion XB turning left from East Sunnyside Street onto Fulton Street. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported both women to an area hospital where one female, 77, was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Scion remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
