| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 9100 Clinton Drive about 9:25 a.m. on Thursday (February 6).
The identity of the deceased female, 62, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer J. Trevino reported:
According to witnesses, a female bicyclist was traveling eastbound near the above address as the driver of a red Freightliner tractor trailer truck exited the East Loop North (East Interstate Highway 610 North) and stopped at the intersection of Clinton Drive. The driver turned westbound on Clinton Drive and the 18-wheeler struck the bicyclist. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased.
The driver, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
