WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 14, 2025, at 3:22 a.m.
WHERE: 2100 block of Gano St. 77009.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $260,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $70,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming from the attic of a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and it was determined the residents were safely out of the home. Crews extinguished and contained the fire to the front attic area of the house. The electrical drop to the house appeared to have been the origin of the fire. 54 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 9, 15, 8, 19, 12, 17, 6 and 30.
