WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 11, 2025, at 3:04 a.m.
WHERE: 1000 block of Majestic St. 77020.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $175,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $100,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source (electrical).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small fire burning in the wall of a house. They pulled the sheetrock from the wall and ceiling and extinguished the fire. The home was ventilated and crews conducted salvage and overhaul. Wiring had shorted in the wall and caused the fire. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 19, 20, 27 and 30.
