WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 8, 2025, at 9:06 p.m.
WHERE: 1100 block of Yale St. at W. 11th St. 77008.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: Not available.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a 2-story house on fire with two nearby exposures. Due to the extent of the fire conditions, an immediate primary search of the home was not possible.
Crews made an attack on the main body of fire from the exterior as others worked to protect and control the fire that had spread to the nearby houses. Additional HFD units were requested and once the fire was controlled, a primary search was completed of the first floor and due to the structural instability, part of the second floor. No victims were found.
Firefighters used foam operations during overhaul to control smoldering areas and ensure the fire was completely extinguished. CenterPoint was requested to control the utilities, and the American Red Cross was notified to assist the residents. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 66 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 11, 2, 15, 6, 31, 9, 16, 30, 62, 17 and Heavy Rescue 11.
