CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene with light smoke coming from the eaves of a 2-story apartment building. They located and extinguished the fire in the attic. A primary search was completed while crews ensured there was no hidden fire or extension. The utilities were controlled and firefighters completed salvage and overhaul. Faulty wiring was found to have overheated and caused the fire. 35 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 78, 83, 75, 86 and 57.
