WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: January 3, 2025 at 3:59 p.m.
WHERE: 6300 block of Cambridge Glen Ln. 77035.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $126,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $60,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as incendiary with two juveniles referred to the Juvenile FireStopper Program.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. A primary search was completed, and a cat was found and removed. The home was ventilated, and the utilities were secured. Crews extinguished the fire in a bedroom with no extension to the attic. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the family and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 48, 2, 59, 68, 80, 51, 24 and Rescue 10.
