CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from the eaves of a 2-story townhouse. They made an offensive attack on the fire. Crews ensured all hotspots were fully out and determined the furnace in the attic and its components were the origin of the fire. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 4, 31, 13, 50, 62, 38, 67, 30 and Rescue 1.
