Houston police are investigating the fatal hit and run crash that occurred at 8700 Westheimer Road about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday (February 2).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Thompson reported:
The male was attempting to cross roadway at the above address, not in a crosswalk, and was struck by an unknown black vehicle. The vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
