Houston police are investigating the fatal hit and run crash that occurred at 7000 Telephone Road about 7 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 2).
The identity of the deceased male, believed to be 50 to 60 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant V. Vo and Officer R. Ramos reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a pedestrian lying in the roadway at the above address. He had suffered head injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.
It is believed the victim was struck by an unknown vehicle which then fled the scene. At this time there is no known description of the suspect vehicle.
