| Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a female found at 3503 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 12:55 p.m. on Sunday (February 2).
The identity and cause of death of the female are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives B. Stephens and A. Finlay reported:
HPD patrol officers were alerted by Houston Fire Department paramedics of an unresponsive female lying underneath a freeway underpass at the above address. Officers located the female in a state of decomposition and paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.
At this time, there are no known witnesses.
The investigation is pending the female’s cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
