House Fire in The Central Southwest Area

WHAT: House fire.

WHEN: December 30, 2024, at 6:11 p.m.

WHERE: 4100 block of Brookfield Dr. 77045.

INJURIES: One firefighter with non-life-threating injury, transported to the hospital.

PROPERTY SAVED: $110,000 in estimated property saved.

DAMAGE: $90,000 in estimated damage.

CAUSE: HFD Arson investigator ruled accidental (electrical).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire and smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. One firefighter fell from an engine, suffering from non-life-threatening injury and was transported to the hospital. The home was ventilated, and a primary search was completed. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and requested HFD Arson investigators to determine the cause and origin. 46 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 33, 2, 21, 59, 37, 48, 80, 36, 24, Rescue 1 and 42.
