WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: December 25, 2024, at 2:42 a.m.
WHERE: 10003 Forum West Dr. 77036.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $165,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $15,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a small fire in between an exterior and interior wall of an apartment building. The fire spread to a small closet and second floor bedroom. Crews quickly extinguished the fire; however extensive overhaul was needed to clear all hotspots. A primary and secondary search were conducted, and the American Red Cross was requested to assist the displaced families. 45 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 28, 68, 83, 10, 48, 69, 82, 75, 73, 57 and Rescue 10.
