WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: December 21, 2024, at 8:25 p.m.
WHERE: 5100 block of Terry St. 77009.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

CAUSE: Unintentional (candles).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. The family was not home and there was no power to the house. They ventilated the roof and extinguished the fire. The fire appeared to have started from candles left burning on a table. 38 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 15, 19, 34, 9, 12, 39, 30 and Rescue 42.
