WHAT: House fire.

WHERE: 9000 block of Ledge St. 77075.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $232,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $51,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from a 1-story house and made an offensive attack. They conducted a primary search and secured the utilities. The roof was ventilated, and the fire was extinguished. The fire appeared to have started in the fireplace and spread up into the attic. CenterPoint was notified and disconnected the power. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. 46 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 36, 23, 26, 70, 52, 61, 29, 24, 46 and Rescue 42.
