WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: November 16, 2024, at 6:26 p.m.
WHERE: 3700 block of Live Oak St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $55,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE:Under investigation (appears to be accidental).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find a house on fire with a report of people possibly trapped. They made an offensive attack and ventilated the home. A primary search was completed with no one found. The resident had safely made it out of the residence. The utilities were secured, and the hot spots were extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. The American Red Cross was notified to assist the resident. 41 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 25, 8, 46, 16, 17, 18, 7, 40 and Heavy Rescue 11.
