WHEN: October 29, 2024, at 10:59 a.m.
WHERE: 7700 block of Wileyvale Rd. 77016.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $60,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from an abandoned 1-story house. They made an offensive attack on the fire and protected the nearby exposures. A primary and secondary search was conducted with no one found. Crews extinguished the fire and knocked down all the hot spots. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 32 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 34, 39, 56, 43, 30 and Rescue 42.
