Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5329 Higgins Street about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 22).
The identity of the victim, approximately 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants N. Miyako, K. Persad and Detective L. Gonzales reported:
Officers were dispatched to a discharge of firearms call in the 5300 block of Higgins Street. Officers drove around the area in search of the scene. They observed a vehicle with its brake lights on in a driveway at the above address. Officers approached the vehicle and located an unresponsive male inside. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and his vehicle had multiple bullet holes. Paramedics were called and pronounced the man deceased.
There is no known suspect(s) or motive at this time.
